These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BovaOne LTD ("BovaOne", "we", "us", or "our") platform, including the BovaRefill website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and PIN, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Depending on the tier of service you request, we may require you to submit identity documents (such as a BVN, NIN, government-issued ID, or proof of address) before you can fund your wallet, make purchases, or withdraw funds. We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or decline a transaction or account where verification cannot be completed or where information provided appears false, incomplete, or fraudulent.
BovaOne provides a digital wallet and a marketplace of related services, which may include: wallet funding and withdrawals; buying and selling gift cards; airtime and mobile data top-ups; bill payments; eSIM purchases; USD and NGN virtual cards issued through licensed card-issuing partners; NGN and USD virtual bank accounts issued through licensed partner banks/processors; and flight search and booking. Not all Services are available to all users, at all times, or in all regions, and we may add, modify, or discontinue any Service at our discretion.
Your BovaOne wallet reflects a balance you may use to pay for Services. Funds are held on your behalf and are not interest-bearing unless we state otherwise. Prices, exchange rates, and fees displayed at the time of a transaction are the prices that apply to that transaction; we do not guarantee that a previously displayed price will be honored for a later transaction. Some transactions (for example gift card trades, flight bookings, or card funding) may be subject to review before funds are released or a purchase is finalized.
Certain Services are fulfilled through licensed third-party partners — for example, card issuers, bank/payment processors, and airline or travel-content providers. Your use of those Services may also be subject to that partner's own terms, which will be presented to you where applicable. BovaOne is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent third-party partners, but we work to ensure our partners are duly licensed and regulated in their respective jurisdictions.
You agree not to use the Services to: violate any applicable law or regulation, including anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing rules; commit fraud or attempt to defraud BovaOne, another user, or a third-party partner; use another person's identity, payment instrument, or account without authorization; circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Services; or engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Services.
We may charge fees for certain transactions (for example, withdrawals, card issuance, or currency conversion). Applicable fees are disclosed to you before you confirm a transaction. We may change our fee schedule from time to time; changes will apply to transactions made after the change takes effect.
We may suspend or terminate your account, or decline a specific transaction, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or if required to do so by a regulator, court order, or a partner institution. You may close your account at any time by contacting support, subject to settlement of any pending transactions and applicable verification of your identity before any remaining balance is released.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BovaOne shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount of fees you paid to us for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation with our support team, and if unresolved, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
